Double eyelid surgery
Incisional, partial-incision and non-incisional (suture) methods, with the crease height and shape designed at consultation.
Eyelid Surgery in Korea
Eye surgery is the most common cosmetic operation in Korea. It is also the one where a few millimetres separate a result that looks like you from one that looks done.
Eyelid surgery in Korea covers more than the double eyelid it is famous for. Seoul surgeons perform incisional and non-incisional double eyelid surgery, upper blepharoplasty to remove excess skin, lower blepharoplasty and under-eye fat repositioning for bags and hollows, and ptosis correction when the lid itself sits too low.
Because these operations are so common, clinics compete hard on speed and price. We look for something else: surgeons who design the crease around your face, explain the trade-offs between techniques, and are honest when a smaller change will look better.
We compare surgeons on fit and technique first, then put written all-in quotes side by side.
Incisional, partial-incision and non-incisional (suture) methods, with the crease height and shape designed at consultation.
Removing excess or hooded skin, often for patients who want to look less tired rather than look different.
Lower blepharoplasty and fat repositioning for bags, hollows and dark shadows under the eyes.
When the eyelid muscle is weak and the lid sits low, the surgery is different — we make sure the surgeon assesses for it before anything is booked.
The same written standard applies to every category. A clinic that cannot answer these is not shortlisted, regardless of how well it markets itself.
You pay the clinic directly for treatment. Your written quote lists the clinic's price and our concierge fee as separate lines, before you book.
We recommend clinics and doctors with no fee and no obligation, and you are free to walk away at any point.
Partner clinics pay us a coordination fee. We recommend the clinic that fits you.
Non-incisional methods generally cost less than incisional surgery, and combined procedures — adding ptosis correction or under-eye work — cost more. The surgeon and the clinic matter as well. We get written, all-in quotes so you can compare like with like before you book a flight.
Stitches usually come out after about five to seven days, and most visible swelling settles over two to four weeks. Plan to stay about a week in Seoul so the surgeon can check you before you fly.
Neither is better in general. Non-incisional surgery suits thinner lids with little excess skin and heals faster; incisional surgery lasts longer and allows skin and fat to be removed. The right answer depends on your eyelids, which is why it is decided at consultation, not from a menu.
Often, yes, and many patients do. Your surgeon will decide whether to do them together or separately. We plan the length of your stay around whatever they recommend.
